Coghill Catering offers a personalised service towards Working Breakfasts, Morning and Afternoon Teas and Lunches, Cocktails & Weddings.
To ensure the smooth running of your event
We will endeavor to provide a flawlessly professional service, the key to which is clear communication. With this aim in mind, please review the following:
Venue Hire
Our Café is available for hire, please talk to Fiona about rates and terms.
Quote
When you have discussed your forthcoming event with us you will be given an initial estimate. If the event is altered in any form it may be necessary to change the original estimate. When menu and final guest numbers are confirmed we will provide a firm quote.
Menu details must be finalised two weeks prior to the function so that we can assure the quality and availability of food. Some dishes may be altered due to season availability. At this time, due to dramatic increases in food costs, we reserve the right to alter price or menu accordingly. We will discuss with you if the need arises.
We will discuss any required changes with you prior to your function.
Confirmation of Booking/Function
We do suggest pre-booking in advance to avoid disappointment of ‘fully’ booked days, anytime from Labour Weekend (End October) to Easter Weekend (April).
When the function is confirmed, a 25% deposit is required to hold your event date. Once you have confirmed your event with a deposit no price increase will incur unless your requirements have altered. Final number of guests needs to be confirmed at least 14 days prior to the event.
Deposit implies acceptance of terms & conditions.
Presentation – (Off-site)
Food will be plated on silver platters or if you wish or you can drop off your own platters prior to your function. We will advise any heating instructions if our own Coghill Staff will not be present.
All catering orders are to be collected at a pre-arranged time from Café Coghill or we can offer to deliver within Whitianga town centre from $10.00+GST. We will quote delivery if required throughout the greater Whitianga area.
All boxes, platters, dipping bowls and any utensils are to be returned to Café Coghill the same day or at the latest early the next morning. For next day return, prior arrangement must be made with the Catering Manager. We will arrange if required return pickup with associated charges (if any).
Menu

Hireage/Staffing
Café Coghill can arrange full hireage including marquee, tables, chairs, linen, glassware and crockery for your function. Breakage or loss of any property will be charged to the customer at renewable cost.
Staff : We are proud of the high level of professionalism and skills our service staff provides. For off-site catering, we can provide wait & bar staff at a cost of $20.00+gst per person and cooks at $25.00+gst per hour. Our staff are friendly, attentive and quietly efficient.
Equipment : All equipment delivered with the function, including hireage, becomes the client's responsibility. Therefore, any loss or damage will be charged at renewable cost.
Cancellation of event
A full refund of deposit will be given if the event is cancelled 21 days prior to the event date. A 50% refund of deposit will be given if the event is cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event. If your event is cancelled less than 7 days prior to the event date, no refund can be given as costs will already have been incurred.
Payment
A tax invoice will be provided and we accept all major credits cards, cash & internet banking. We ask that orders be paid in full on delivery/pickup day.
All prices are inclusive of GST.
